Weather conditions in the UK can of course be unpredictable, at sea conditions can change quickly too. It’s advisable to bring warm clothes and wet weather clothes even if the forecast is good. Wellies are also advisable for getting in and out of the ships tender on the sea shore.
In the main comfortable casual clothes like jeans, jumpers and t-shirts are best for sailing.
Trainers and other rubber soled non slip shoes are the best choice of footwear. High heels are definitely not recommended on deck whilst the barge is under sail.
For static events on board, guests are welcome to dress up as much as they like. Heels welcome!
For trips out on the river during summer it’s also a good idea to pack some sun tan lotion.
Hats and sunglasses are items that regularly end up going overboard – so if you coming sailing don’t bring anything too precious.
